Burning Desire Review
When we first came across Microsoft’s Burning Desire online slot game we have to admit we were pretty surprised. So much hype surrounds the launch of games these days that its sometimes difficult to see the wood from the trees. Yet it certainly appears that Microgaming have hit the mark with Burning Desire, principally by combining the old with the new. This 5 reel, 243 payline online slot combines classic retro reel symbols and incorporates them into a modern high tech game which has a pretty decent free spins feature and a fixed jackpot game that offers a maximum payout of 30,000 coins.
Feedback we have received since we added this game to the website has been positive, with players reporting that in addition to the 15 free spin feature (which is triggered by landing 3 or more scatter symbols) they liked the fact that there is a reasonable fixed jackpot of 30,000 coins to aim for. We tend to agree that for a non-progressive jackpot game, Burning Desire certainly offers players a decent fixed jackpot to play for.
Yet it’s the old school feel of this game that we really like. The traditional card character reel symbols really does make this game feel somewhat different. Yes it has the rather unimaginative standard gamble feature that most new Microgaming slots have, whereby players are given the option of gambling their winnings by picking the colour of the next card to be drawn from the deck. But, despite this we are struggling to identify weaknesses with this game. It design and features make it difficult not to like. It’s not revolutionary but its certainly a fun game to play and mixes old and new rather nicely.
